About the Event
Flamenco comes from the South of Spain which was a cultural crossroads ruled by Romans and then inhabited by Moors, Sephardic Jews, Roma who migrated from India, Africans who were captured and brought as slaves and the Andalusians who are a mix of all those who came before them. All these people used music and dance to express their beliefs, hardships and celebrations and scholars suspect that all of it got mixed up, changed and influenced to become what today we call ¨Flamenco¨. During the screening online attend a chat with Guitarist and Music Director Beau Bledsoe, Singer, Musician and Sevillano Native Antonio Rojas and Flamenco Dancer, Choreographer and Producer Melinda Hedgecorth.
