Flamenco Recital and Castanet Workshop

To clarify information:  Castanet workshop will take place Online Only on Saturday Nov 7th at 12:00 CST and  for the second class Sunday Nov 8th at 12:00 CST at Point A School of Dance in Lawrence as well as online .  Both classes will last 40 minutes and on Nov 8th we will start the performances directly after the castanet class.  

Participation is completely optional.  Pricing is $5 to participate in the Performances and watch others (simply to cover costs) and $25 for the entire castanet workshop (two 40 min sessions) taught by Norma Pacheco O'neil.  You can be a part of the performances in person or online!

Here is some information about our fabulous guest teacher Norma:

Norma Pacheco O’Neil has been dancing, teaching and performing flamenco and  Classical Spanish dance for over 40 years. She is the educational outreach coordinator for Ensemble Iberica in Kansas City where she has created two programs: Vamos a España and Mexico Lindo. She enjoys sharing her passion for music, dance and history of both Spain and Mexico to students in the Kansas City and surrounding areas. She often plays the castanets and palmas in Ensemble Iberica’s performances and can be heard on their recordings. She continues to expand her love of learning by teaching and taking flamenco lessons both locally and internationally in Spain, Mexico and Switzerland.
